A GAME OF TWO HALVES... REALLY!

ROBIN LE COCQ helped himself to two of Raiders' six tries at Eton Manor as the Guernsey side won 44-22 and climbed to sixth spot in the early National Three London and SE table, five points behind the three pacesetting sides.

In what was a proverbial game of two halves, the Raiders were superb in the first half and poor in the second when they were outscored by the division's bottom side.

Raiders ran in four first half scores, Sam Stables setting the tone with a converted try, this after Owen Thomas had kicked an early penalty.

A second Thomas penalty gave Raiders a 13-0 lead and by the break Adam Nixon, Luke Sayer and Le Cocq had added tries, only one of which was converted by the new fly half.

Leading 30-0 at the break Raiders stretched further clear when Glen Walters scored soon after the resumption, Thomas kicking the extras for a 37-0 lead.

But the newly-promoted side then ran in three ties of their own to get back to 15-37 and they scored a fourth after Le Cocq had again gone over and Thomas converted again.
