Eamon Chapman and Glen Walters will cruelly miss Saturday's big Siam Cup clash at Footes Lane and consequently played their last games for the club.

Back-rower Chapman has a suspected fractured knee cap and the versatile Walters has undergone surgery for a hernia to solve a problem that had been plaguing him for much of the campaign.

Coach Jordan Reynolds has named give new Siam 'caps' in half-back pairing Adam Nixon and Owen Thomas and the trio of young forwards - Dom Rice, Nico Ashplant and Tom Malagodi.

Rice, who has been away all season at university, is the beneficiary of Chapman's cruel luck, and will wear the 7 shirt.

Ashplant and Malagodi are on the replacements bench alongside veteran Siam men Simon Sharrott and Jason Batiste and the wingers Ben Challinor and Anthony Armstrong.

The good news is that Malcolm Barnes has been passed fit to make his farewell appearance in the biggest game of all and the veteran Kiwi is set to fill one of the winger spots.

'Malcolm has got through our last few sessions and so should be back,' said the coach who feels for his fellow Aussie Chapman, a man who he has so dependent upon on all winter, churning out consistently superb performances.

'He's a good player and it's a real shame for him,' said the coach who also revealed that Chapman's parents have travelled over from Australia especially for the game.

'Glen had his op last week and that's just how it goes,' added the coach who has had his work cut out to name 44 players to cover both the main game and also the Fallaize Cup second team game.

For the latter he names three of last weekend's triumphant Colts Cup team - namely Dan Rice, Matt Armstrong and Brad Webb.
