DOUBLE HELPING TOMORROW
COLCHESTER come to Footes Lane on Saturday night as Jordan Reynolds men continue their preparations for the new league season.
And as the coach explained it was a chance meeting with the Essex sides coach that led to the fixture being arranged, with last seasons London One North champions,
"I was on a coaching [course] with their coach Anthony O'Riordan.
We got talking and he said they might come over to play us in pre-season, without knowing at the time that we would end up in the same league because of their promotion.
Colchester are likely to be a strong outfit and a step up from Jersey Athletic last weekend, while the visit of Cornish Pirate looms to complete pre-season. "
Guernsey used a squad of 26 in the match against Athletic, but with a development side playing against St Jacques tomorrow afternoon (1pm kick off), his first-team squad will be cut down to around 22 for the game against Colchester, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Make sure you get down and have a look, not least at our exciting new fly-half Owen Thomas.
