RAIDERS have slipped one place to sixth in the National Three London and SE table after a tough 18-10 loss at East Grinstead today.

Other than the malfunctioning lineout, it was a very decent performance by Raiders against the big-spending G-Force who are notably strong at home and restricted the visitors to just one run try.
The first 20 min saw both sides miss penalties and then score with their next opportunity.

But G-Force went into half time 6-3 ahead and then pulled clear with two tries, one of them converted.
Sam Stables then went over and with Owen Thomas converting the gal was back to 18-10, but try as hard as they did it was not to be Raiders' day.

On the plus side, no significant injuries were picked up and Malcolm Barnes got another 30 minutes under his belt after coming on for the final half hour at scrum half.

Raiiders, who conceded one try when Cameron Craine was in the sin-bin, really deserved a losing bonus point, but even that was denied them.

Elsewhere, Tonbridge Juddian lost for the first time and with London Irish Wild Geese edging a close game at Bracknell 30-27, they are the only side with a 100 per cent record.
Shelford have sneaked above us in the table after edging out Hertford, while Westcombe Park, our next opponents at Footes Lane on 7 November, are third after ending TJs unbeaten start by a 23-17 scoreline.

More reaction to the Raiders third defeat of the season to follow.
