Update from Jordan Reynolds and Chris Griffiths ahead of this weekend's games.

WHILE Chris Grifftihs was today (Thursday) able to name his starting XV and replacements for Sunday’s historic first UK league game, injury doubts among the senior men have delayed the finalising of the 1st XV who play Saturday at home to East Grinstead.

‘East Grinstead will be one of the hardest games of the year’ said coach Jordan, who hopes to finalise the side today. 'The good news is that Robin Le Cocq is fit enough to return, but on the downside Tom Ceillam injured himself in training and is likely to be out.'

Meanwhile, the club are looking to get another new signing, Fijian Simione Sawene fully fit to challenge for a place in the second row.

‘He’s only just arrived and we will have a look at him first in the seconds. He’s got a bit of a twinge in the knee and our pack is pretty strong at the moment so there is no need to rush him.’

Kick off is at 1.30pm at the Garenne Stand

The ladies coach is able to choose a strong side as they host Ellingham & Ringwood at Footes Lane (old pitch) on Sunday morning.

'We are missing some very strong players in Daisy Travers (No. 8) who is relocating to the UK and will be playing for Bristol Ladies. Rachel Merrien (second row/back row) has returned to the UK to attend College and she will be playing for Trojans Ladies during this season, and Carly Parrott, who is currently away travelling but will be back in the fold in November.

'There are two debutants in Justeen Baker, who is a very good Touch Rugby player and will be starting at outside centre and Andrea Harris, who hasn't played before this season and will be starting from the bench.

'It is also great to have Jemma Crouse back at 10, she missed last season as she was pregnant.'
