1sts denied victory in final minutes against Gravesend and two wins out of two for 2nds in JRA
A bonus point for scoring four tries was of some consolation to the 1sts who lost 27-24 to Gravesend in a forwards game today in the mainland.
Considering the injury crisis it was a fine performance from Jordan’s team who will be cheered not only by their gutsy performance but also to have heard that the 2nds were beating Beeches in the JRA League.
Cameron Craine went over twice for tries and Dale Rutledge and Nick Merrien scored one apiece.
They may have added a fifth score but the final whistle went with Guernsey on the attack and closing on the line.
In Jersey, the 2nds ran in three tries in chalking up 22 points to beat Beeches 22-5.
There were tries from John Berg, Naro Zimmerman and Dale Martin.
Dave O’Hanlon notched two conversions and a penalty.
