Amersham & Chiltern 15 - 17 Guernsey

Glen Walters showed himself to be more than just an outstanding stand-off as Guernsey 1sts snatched a dramatic victory - only their second of the season - away in the UK today.

With Jordan Reynolds’ side 15-10 down in the closing moments Guernsey forced their way over courtesy of Darren Bellingham and from wide on the touchline Walters added the two points to snatch the win which lifts us up to 11th in the 14-team table, just 12 points off the promotion spots.

In the first half newcomer Matt Hema and Tom Ceillam both scored unconverted tries for a 10-10 interval score against the team that lie sixth in the table.

Sadly, Guernsey were to lose Malcolm Barnes with a suspected broken collarbone - how unlucky can one man get?

The inspiring Kiwi, who was taken to hospital, has only just returned from a hamstring strain and, of course, spent most of last season out with a fractured neck.
