Significant numbers of home supporters turned out to watch Guernsey take an impressive win in what turned out to be an exciting and mature display of rugby. Previous meetings with Jersey in this age group have found them to be well disciplined, strong on width and alignment, being both accurate and fast off the pass.
Guernsey had done their homework and clearly put work into preparations for this game. A flow of significant tackles and well-timed runs from the centres leading to some outstanding breaks on the wing. The run of tries were equally marked by the accuracy of kicking to make the conversions.
The U14s went into the Christmas break undefeated in the league and are looking forward to their next game away at Crawley in phase two of the waterfall league.
