REVENGE MISSION

JORDAN REYNOLDS will be happy if Dorking come to Footes Lane on Saturday prepared to fight fire with fire in the backs.
Even though Luke Sayer, arguably our most creative back three player, has failed to make the final cut, the head coach believes there is enough talent within both teams to make for a great spectacle of rugby against the side that beat them 24-20 back in September. However, the plan is for the Raiders to be on the right side of the scoreline.

‘Leaving Luke Sayer out is never ideal, but looking at the bigger picture we wanted to reward the guys who won at Hertford,’ Reynolds explained ahead of final training for another key game in this exciting season.
Overall, he has opted to make one change from the starting XV at Hertford last week, with Robin Le Cocq replaced by Blair Campbell.
Dale Martin returns to the back row while Ned Brown and Luke Jones both shift out one position in the back-line so Blair Campbell can get some valuable game-time ahead of the game away to Southend when Ned is unavailable.
‘BC’ only got five minutes last week and didn’t play at the week before, so knowing Ned isn't available for the next game we need to get ‘BC’ back into the saddle.
‘But it’s good that we can get these different combinations and sometimes we will go with Robin Le Cocq at flanker while this week we will go with Dale there just to mould the way we want to play in a particular game.’
Charlie Currie, meanwhile, returns to the bench where he will sit alongside fellow front-rower Cameron Craine.
Currie has had it tough of late, as the coach admitted.
‘I was looking to start Charlie against Tunbridge Wells but he got a virus and before that he had a rib injury.’

The coach, ever the weather-forecaster, believes conditions on Saturday will be wet, although the wind is due to die down.
But, regardless, he expects Dorking to be faithful to themselves and throw the ball around.
‘We have hopefully worked out some areas we can improve on from the last time we played them and this is an opportunity for us to try and rectify what went wrong there,’ he said.
‘Definitely, we have got the motivation to win, both in terms of being No. 1 in the table and in getting some revenge.
‘In fact, this is a fairly ideal game for us and the boys are pretty up for it.’
The corresponding game last season saw Raiders edge a remarkable 96-point game thriller in which we ran in eight tries and Dorking, who suffered a terrible start, six.
When we met them earlier this season, Dorking scored a very late try to take the win. There is every expectation of another thriller on Saturday, so don’t miss the 2pm kick off.
