GUERNSEY'S poor home form continued as they lost 30-23 to CS Rugby 1863 at Footes Lane this afternoon.
The visitors registered five tries to Guernsey's two, four of CS Rugby's scores coming in the first half when the home team's sole reply came from Tom Hobbs.
The visitors would have been all but home and dry by the break had they kicked their conversions, but they managed just one and the interval came with Guernsey trailing 10-22, which briefly became a five-point game when Nick Barton was on the end of a pushover try early in the second half and Sam Whitehead converted.
But CS Rugby replied through an converted try of their own, and although Sam Whitehead kicked a penalty the visitors got one of their own.
There was better news from the GRFC 2nds who beat Beeches 33-10 in the lunchtime JRA League kick off.
Hobbs scored two tries and Alex Lock and Jim Elliott one apiece, while Jason Batiste kicked 13 points.
