A terrible start and a missed late penalty cost the 1st XV at Hertford this afternoon.
But they battled back well and with a converted try from Cameron Craine reduced the deficit to 7-12 at the break.
Hertford extended their lead with a penalty early in the second half but Guernsey bounced back with an unconverted try of their own, scored by Layton Batiste.
But on the hour mark the visitors missed a penalty through Sam Whitehead to level the scores and in a tense finish they could not quite get the score they needed to end this dismal run.
