The Sarnians turned a 19-13 half-time advantage at CS Rugby in National Three London & South East into a 50-13 success with 31 unanswered points after the break.
But despite scoring eight tries courtesy of eight different players, with five of them converted by the boot of Sam Whitehead, GRFC head coach Reynolds admits it wasn't as one-sided as the scoreline suggests.
'It was actually a really competitive game of rugby, with both teams looking to play an expansive game throughout,'he said. 'We deserved the win and played really well for the whole 80 minutes, which was really pleasing to see, but 50-13 certainly didn't reflect the overall balance of play. A few times the ball bounced kindly for us and not for them, but we will take that because there are games where the opposite happens, so it evens itself out. CS Rugby beat us (30-23) earlier in the season, so to get such a comprehensive win in the end against a fantastic side is brilliant for us.'
Teenage debutant Taylor Quate completed the try scoring for Guernsey in a late cameo off the bench, running in from deep inside his own half. He added to earlier efforts from Tom Ceillam, Lewis Hillier, Robin Le Cocq, Nick Barton, Ben McDougall, Jason Batiste and Whitehead, the latter finished with 15 points.
