There will be no Tom Ceillam - busy on new baby-sitting duty - but the skipper is back for Saturday’s trip to Dorking.

Coach Jordan Reynolds is able to select a strong squad despite the absence of Ceillam and Luke Sayer and the squad head out targeting a fifth straight win to cement their top five spot. But as captain Lewis Hillier was keen to remind fans, Dorking at home are a tough nut to crack.

Naturally, he’s mightily glad to be back in the side to take them on and hopefully achieve the double over the team sitting in seventh spot, ‘It’s been hard being a spectator on the sidelines,‘ said the skipper who is confident his repaired eye is up to the task, ‘It has healed to a certain extent,’ he said. ‘It went twice its normal size when I did it the second time.’

Hillier said he has every faith in Layton Batiste maintaining the standards set by Ceillam at the lineout, but will miss him nevertheless, ‘It’s a big loss not to have Tom. Not only for the throwing but his work rate around the park.’

Meanwhile, the coach is not only targeting another win but possibly a top-four finish in National Three London & South-East, ‘There is a long way to go, we still have 10 games to play, and we want to go as far up the ladder as we can.’

All told, Reynolds has made only two changes to the squad who beat Shelford and the other man to return is the mercurial Malcolm Barnes, ‘Malcolm coming back to fitness is also a huge plus for us,’ he said. Sam Whitehead returns to full back in Sayer’s absence and Dave Davison comes in on the wing. Sam Steventon moves to hooker and Cameron Craine starts at No. 1.

If the game is anything like the first it will be a try-fest. At Footes Lane in October it finished 50-45 to Raiders and it It took a well-judged gamble from Owen Thomas to seal the match, intercepting and racing clear for the clinching converted try.

Squad:
Cameron Craine, Sam Steventon, Layton Batiste, Nick Merrien,
Lewis Hillier (captain), Dale Martin, Romain Mercadal, Dan Hill, Adam Nixon, Owen Thomas, Kenny Hellier, Ned Brown, Luke Jones, Dave Davison, Sam Whitehead.
Replacements:
Luke Skovronek, Matt Thomas and Malcolm Barnes.
