The Guernsey Raiders are thrilled to announce that Anthony Armstrong has been appointed as the club’s new Treasurer. Ant is a familiar face to the Footes Lane, is best known to supporters for his powerful running and consistent threat on the wing.

The transition will see Chris Hughes step away from the Treasurer role. During his time as Treasurer, Hughes was a vital asset to the Raiders, navigating the club through various financial chapters with expertise and commitment.

The club is delighted that Chris will remain a key figure within the leadership team. Shifting his focus toward strategic development, he will continue to work on initiatives that ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of rugby across the island.

Gary Haycock-West, Chair of the Guernsey Raiders, commented:

"We’ve spent years watching Ant make big runs on the pitch, and we are now looking forward to him bringing that same energy behind the scenes. He has been a key player for the Raiders over the years and understands the DNA of this club better than most. He will play a vital role in helping the club progress toward our goals and supporting the wider rugby community."

Regarding the transition, Gary added:

"We want to extend our sincerest thanks to Chris Hughes for his tireless work as Treasurer. We are very pleased that he is staying on to lend his experience to our strategic projects. Ant’s appointment ensures continuity and passion at the board level, and we know he’ll continue to build effectively on the strong foundation Chris has left."

Ant Armstrong will begin his role as Treasurer with immediate effect.
