With thanks to MSF's Greville Mitchell OBE, the Guernsey Raiders now have World Rugby approved GPS player trackers.

With thanks to MSF's Greville Mitchell OBE, the Guernsey Raiders now have World Rugby approved GPS player trackers.

The trackers will enable coaches and players to analyse performance and track improvements throughout training and matches.

Director of Rugby, Jordan Reynolds says it will have a big impact: “It’s pretty well renowned that we've got a really small squad and what happens with our squad a lot of the time is we start to dip over Christmas with fatigue and the whole purpose of this is we're creating science around the workloads that we put our players through.”

“It be great if we had 40 players and we could rotate but unfortunately we don't so managing the statistics and the data is exactly what we need. As coaches we can guess as much as we want but ultimately, we need the data to support that.”

Greville has been a supporter of the club for a number of years, with MSF in their 6th year of sponsorship for the club.

Last year MSF purchased a new state of the art Scrum Machine for the Guernsey Raiders to aid in training.

Jordan adds: “We wouldn’t have kit like this without guys like this. He’s a great supporter of the club and we love having him on board.”

Guernsey Raiders Director of Sponsorship, Chris Gnapp, says: “Not only has Greville and MSF supported the club for a number of years through sponsorship, but also by assisting with purchases of equipment that enhances all our playing team’s performances.”

“We are extremely grateful for Greville’s continued support of the club and his ambition to help the Raiders be the best they possibly can be on the pitch."

I know that myself and everyone involved in the club are super grateful.”
