The 2019/20 season was more than 80% complete and Raiders were positioned top of the London and SE Premier League ahead of Rochford Hundred on points difference when the decision was made to the cease play due to the current pandemic.

The RFU Competitions Panel had the difficult task of implementing fair system to judge final placings in the league. Using their mathematical formula they have judged that Rochford Hundred would have won the London and SE Premier League based upon Rochford Hundred having more remaining home games, giving them a mathematical advantage of 0.31.

That decision then pitched the Raiders into a notional play-off situation with Maidenhead who were deemed to be runners-up in the South West RFU Leagues. The decision was then made by the RFU Competitions Panel that Raiders won the play-off based upon their superior results to Maidenhead this season.

Therefore, Guernsey Raiders have earnt promotion back to National 2 South for the 2020/21 season. We look forward to celebrating with everyone sometime in the near future!
