The Guernsey Raiders are thrilled to announce a brand-new initiative for the upcoming 2025/26 season as we launch of Walking Rugby in Guernsey! This marks an exciting expansion of our rugby offering, creating an inclusive and accessible pathway for even more islanders to enjoy the sport.
What is Walking Rugby?
Walking Rugby is a fun, social, and non-contact version of the game, designed for everyone – regardless of age, gender, or previous rugby experience (or lack thereof!). It's played at a walking pace, meaning no running, tackling, or strenuous impacts. Instead, the emphasis is on passing, teamwork, tactical play, and most importantly, having a great time. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the spirit of rugby in a relaxed, friendly, and low-impact environment.
Who is it for?
Walking rugby is a sport that is accessible to all players. All abilities welcome, players just need to be over 18!
Why Walking Rugby?
The benefits of Walking Rugby extend far beyond the pitch:
Get Involved!
We are incredibly excited to bring this accessible and engaging format of rugby to Guernsey and can't wait to welcome new faces to the pitch. This is your chance to try something new, stay active, and become part of the growing Raiders family in a whole new way.
Sessions start on the 3rd August at the Club Pitch, Footed Lane, from 9am.
We look forward to seeing you there!
