Whether you’re competitive or just curious, women’s rugby is a great way to build strength, keep fit and meet new people.
The Guernsey Raiders Ladies are proud of our vibrant, supportive, and incredibly fun community. Whether you're a seasoned athlete looking for a new challenge or you've never touched a rugby ball in your life, we want you to join us!
Why should you give women's rugby a try?
Fitness & Strength: Rugby is a fantastic full-body workout. You'll improve your cardiovascular fitness, build strength, and develop agility in a dynamic and engaging way.
Teamwork & Camaraderie: There's nothing quite like the bond you form with your teammates on the rugby pitch. You'll learn to trust, communicate, and work together towards a common goal, forging friendships that last a lifetime.
Confidence & Empowerment: Stepping onto the rugby field can be incredibly empowering. You'll push your boundaries, discover your inner resilience, and gain a massive boost in self-confidence.
Mental Well-being: Rugby is a brilliant stress-buster! The focus required during training and matches, coupled with the physical exertion and social interaction, is fantastic for your mental health.
A Welcoming Community: The Raiders family is known for its warmth and inclusivity. You'll be welcomed with open arms into a supportive environment where everyone encourages each other to be their best.
New players are always welcome and training is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7.30pm - 8.30pm.
Pre-season is being held at St Sampson's High School, with normal training commencing from Footes Lane in September.
No Experience Necessary! We mean it! Our coaches are passionate about developing players of all abilities. We'll teach you everything you need to know, from the basics of passing and tackling to game strategy.
