ALL week in the buildup to the team's biggest ever match, coach Chris Griffiths had been emphasising the word 'calm'.
But ultimately the calm was not so much about keeping cool, but what preceded the storm.
Worthing were caught up in a celebratory hurricane at Footes Lane on Sunday and the party started very early with the game won long before its end.
The game had barely started when Tanya Scholtz crashed over and in an opening blitz she added another, while Vicki Rang dived in for another and skipper Jemma Crouse notched one conversion from her first three attempts.
By the time the halftime whistle brought some respite from the storm heading their way, Worthing had conceded further tries to Rang and one from Hannah McLennan and Crouse had three conversions to her name with the score standing at 31-0.
Guernsey showed no mercy and the tries kept coming in the second period and when Jemma was not kicking the extras, Rang was.
Rang went in for two more tries, Crouse one and in a final flourish there were tries from Kristina Vavere and Fi Power (two), all three of them converted.
Well done girls, you have done yourselves, the club and the island proud.
Keep an eye out for a big two-page feature in the Press’s forthcoming Full Time sports supplement when Chris Griffiths speaks at length about the championship winning season and his hopes for the future.
