One man who could soon be helping the 1sts battle against the drop is Greg Smith and after five months out of the game he made a long awaited return to action in today's low key friendly at the KGV between the GRFC Colts/2nd XV and a St Jacques XV.
Wearing the No. 8 shirt Smith scored one of the GRFC's 10 tries in a 60 points to 12 win on the 3G.
Smith came through an hour's play unscathed which is good news for both him and Jordan Reynolds, but the real star of the show was young back Ben Honour who scored four tries.
Other scores came from Dom Rice, John Bergh, James Parr, Diego de Freitas and Cally Murdoch, while Callum Gladstone added several conversions.
